Here is a unofficial plug in review. I’ve been mixing for a long time now, and sometimes I tend to fall into these trends where Im chasing a certain sound thats floating around in my mind. The fun part is trying to figure out how to get that sound through the speakers. Compression is one of those things that can help you control how the mix hits and feels when playing back. I have nothing but good things to say about the CLA LA-3A. The controls are as simple as Cake. Gain knob and Peak Reduction Knob. I first started using this plug on Electric Guitars, I needed a compressor that could squash hard with keeping the tone of the guitars in tact as well as adding some sonic flavor to the mix. The LA-3A has become one of my go to compressors for guitars, but it doesn’t stop there it also sounds awesome on Bgv’s and Drums as well as anything you would like to run through your Compression Buss. The WAVES CLA Bundle has become a killer tool for my mixing process.
